The Sustainability Department imparts knowledge and organises events and projects on the topic of sustainability.
“Sustainability” touches almost everything in life, which we also want to reflect in our offers. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to visit us in the office or contact us via our Facebook page / by email.
We are also always in discussion with the university and the cafeteria in order to make campus life more sustainable. With various demands and suggestions, we try to bring sustainability into focus again and again in a constructive dialogue. SUSTAINABLE OFFERS / PROJECTS
Fairteiler
A fairteiler is about saving and sharing food. Here, edible food that is still in good condition can be put in or taken out, and you can also just take or donate some food. The fairteiler are located on Campus 1 in the Studihaus (on the gallery to the right) and on Campus 2 to the left of the cafeteria entrance in the open air. During Covid, our fairteiler are unfortunately closed.
Papierpilz
The Papierpilz is our project to create notebooks from misprinted paper. We have set up collection boxes for single-sided A4 paper at the various printer locations on campus. We bind notebooks from this paper, which you can pick up from our office.
GARDEN
We work hard in our AStA garden all year round. If you are interested in gardening and want to balance out your study day, get in touch with us. Information about the garden can be found here.
RAISED BEDS
We have raised beds with vegetables and herbs in front of the Studihaus and next to the Fairteiler on Campus 2. You are welcome to harvest something there if you wish, but please do not raid the beds.
ÖKOBIB
We also have a small library on various topics related to sustainability, from which you are welcome to borrow books. You can recognise it in TriCat by the branch number “915”. More information here.
VEGAN RECIPES
Our recipe collection is still under construction. We are gradually collecting vegan recipes and look forward to receiving your comments. You can find them here.
